GreenEarth finds data of interest in Geelong, Victoria.

GreenEarth Energy has reported it has found data of interest from existing drilling for oil and gas between Anglesea and Geelong in Victoria. It is using information from one of its parent companies, Lakes Oil, to determine if it will drill wells in search for hot rocks.

Last month, GreenEarth Energy was one of six companies who was awarded Geothermal Exploration Permits from the Victorian Department of Primary Industries.

Six companies begin energy search in Vic

The Victoria government has just issued its first round of Geothermal Exploration Permits (GEPs).

Hot Rock Ltd, Karoon Gas Australia, Geogen Victoria, Torrens Energy Ltd, Proactive Energy Developments Ltd and Greenearth Energy Ltd each picked up a licence in the first round covering 80,000 square kilometres.
